Kicking off the marketing campaign

Hello all, I’m excited to announce that I’m finally kicking off the ARGHH, there’s a killer chasing me! Marketing Campaign.

This is a zero-budget marketing campaign, therefore don’t expect anything special lol. Though, this campaign will consist of me sharing content from the game every day on a variety of platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Itch, Discord Servers, etc) and I’ll keep at this until the game’s release.

So, I bet you’re wondering, what do I have in store for the campaign? Well, here are some things to really look forward to:

  • ARGHH, there’s a killer chasing me! Official Trailer
  • Title Screen reveal and Opening cutscene sneak peek.
  • Tour of the environment
  • Sneak peek of spoiler-free in-game achievements.
  • An explainer video with survival horror mentor Skelly Arthuritis Skullkin (a skeleton character that handles the tutorial for this game)
  • First few minutes of Gameplay video.
  • And Much Much More.

I’ll be releasing these in the upcoming weeks, so watch out for them!

While we’re here, let me provide you with a quick update on the game’s development:

Sounds

I’ve begun to implement Music and Sound Effects to the game. Majority of this is already implemented though some remain. The implementation is rather easy. It’s finding the right sounds and music for my game from free resources that takes time.

Tutorial

The tutorial is complete and the best part: it adapts to whatever input device is connected. If the game detects a PlayStation controller, the tutorial will provide you the controls solely for that controller. If you decide to revert to keyboard and mouse mid-tutorial, the tutorial will automatically update.

If you forget all the controls from the tutorial, worry not as I have provided a list of controls for all devices in the settings section of the game. Unfortunately, the demo will not support the rebinding of controls, but I will certainly implement it in the full game.

Main Story

The main story is ALMOST complete! Only one major cutscene remains and they’re all done. But I need to go back over every cutscene and add sound to them. This shouldn’t take too long.

I’m now in the testing phase of the game where I’ll focus on fixing bugs and implementing features that will enhance the overall player experience of the game.
